My folks came through town tonight and we finally had the chance to check out the Riverside Diner [314 Columbia St Rensselaer, NY]. They feature "All Homecooked" and "Breakfast All Day".On a Tuesday evening there were plenty of tables available. In fact, everyone there seemed to be a "Regular" - we felt rather conspicuous, as if we'd walked into somebody else's church social.
We had a good diner-type meal in under an hour, and the prices were reasonable. It passed my "good bread" test - warm, crispy dinner rolls, sliced and grilled - a nice touch. I'm sure we'll go back.
