Crailo Opening

Celebrate Independence Day with the public opening of the exhibit, "A Sweet and Alien Land: Colony of the Dutch in the Hudson River Valley" at the Crailo State Historic Site, [9 1/2 Riverside Ave., Rensselaer]. The celebration of the new permanent exhibit will feature 17th-century Dutch re-enactors, music and refreshments. Admission is $5 for adults, $4 for seniors and students, and free for children younger than 12. For more information, call 518-463-8738

Crailo Harvest Faire, a festive event inspired by 17th and 18th agricultural fairs, Sat., Sept. 12, 2009, 11am – 4pm

Native American and Dutch interpretation in the park each Sunday afternoon, now through October. Free to the public. 12 noon – 4pm
